Brilliant Lentil Blossoms, Casteluccio

There's beauty everywhere in Perugia Province, the region of Umbria - the Green Heart of Italy (Il Cuore Verde), but one of my favorite places is high above Norcia, in SE Umbria, in the village of Casteluccio.  It's not a stunning village, but in summer, the view below over the fields of lentils in bloom, stark against the treeless landscape, is breathtaking.  Another world.
