Gemelle in Piazza - Sister Cities in the Piazza - one of our favorite SPSCA events every year. Great fun!
We'd like more of our Seattle-Perugia members to participate!
For more photos and info from this year's Sister City Market in Perugia, click on "Read More."
The setting for the market is perfect - right in the center of Piazza d'Italia, in the heart of old Perugia. Here we are (left to right): Mike Grigoni, Alan Veigel, Josie DeLellis, Mike James.

It's always full of color - booths with food, spices, clothing, and many other products from Perugia's six sister cities - Seattle, Aix-en-Provence, Potsdam, Tubingen, Bratislava, and Grand Rapids.

It's a great chance to meet and talk with residents of Perugia and other towns in Umbria.

We show off Seattle, using a big map to show our place in the U.S.; this year we sold a ton of T-shirts, our beautiful food calendars, maps of the USA, Orca key chains, Sahale snacks from Seattle, and a few posters. Mostly we'll remember the great conversations (in Italian) with new and familiar faces.

We'd love some new ideas for designing our Seattle booth, and about products to offer; most of all we'd like more of our members to participate!
It's a great experience to live in Perugia for a week every June, meet new people at the booth every day - and the city of Perugia gives our participants a place to stay and two meals each day. So, think about our Seattle booth, what we might offer next time, and whether you'd like to participate!
Maybe we'll see you in Perugia next year!
